Springboard Grant 2026

In January 2025 I proposed a painting project to the Maine Arts Commission as part of the annual grant submission period. The project titled, Pieces Within, involved the creation of 10 large scale oil paintings over the next year based upon sections from previously completed works from 2023 to 2024. In late June 2025, I was awarded a Springboard Grant to partially fund my idea. This particular grant is awarded to creatives who have not previously received a grant from the Maine Arts Commission. Eight of the works have been completed to date with 2 others in progress. Sometime in the spring/early summer I will host an event to showcase the completed body of work.

I am grateful to be a recipient of support from the Maine Arts Commission. This project is supported in part by The Maine Arts Commission, which receives support in part from the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency. Their investment helps sustain the arts in Maine and allows me to continue and share my creative endeavors as a visual artist working and living in Maine.
